We’re very happy to announce that in October 2010 we became a part of the stellar roster at Monkey Farm Artists! It’s so exciting to once again find ourselves in such creative and esteemed company; the list of bands on the roster is truly extraordinary! Among these bands are: Dawn of Midi, Electric Junkyard Gamelan, Howard Fishman, The Hot Holy Mess (Mazz gives a special shout out to fellow violinist, Skye Steele!!), Jessica Lurie, Marika Hughes, MazzMuse (our very own Mazz Swift’s solo project!), Real Vocal String Quartet, Tall Tall Trees and the Tiptons Sax Quartet. Talk about your Titans of Improv and New Music!!
Monkey Farm Artists is a collectively run agency that aims to bring that sense of community and camaraderie to the business (and pleasure) of making music. Not only is this organization a booking agency but they also put on shows around New York City (where 95% of the bands are based) which showcase the different bands on the roster. It goes without saying that we CAN’T WAIT to share the stage with some/all of them.
The timing couldn’t be better, too; when we joined, MFA was gearing up for the annual conference that the Association of Performing Arts Presenters (otherwise known as APAP) puts on in New York City. We’re excited to be part of this group and couldn’t be more delighted to be represented at such a huge event by such great people.
Cheers Everyone!
